The unstoppable power-house

Drive the change you were born for

We asked Lauren Ogúndèkó about being The Unstoppable Powerhouse

Lauren, your Conker Inside results gave you a profile of The Unstoppable Powerhouse. How much did you see yourself in there?

I've completed several personality assessments since I completed the Conker assessment, and I often find myself returning to this one. I believe it captures my essence accurately. Embracing the strengths identified in this assessment has been instrumental in my growth as a leader. Running away from these strengths was never an option, especially in the leadership roles I've held up to today.

Of all the attributes, which is the one that’s given you the most challenges across your career?

I would say that my ability to move quicker than my peers and direct reports has been an area I've had to address. I needed to find a balance that doesn't compromise my need for speed. This self-awareness has also helped me manage the potential for burnout, learning when to slow down to ensure I take people on the journey with me properly.

And which would you consider to be your superpower?

My ability to provide clarity, set clear expectations, and be specific rather than abstract has been invaluable in various situations, from business and client meetings to industry speaking engagements. I thrive on simplifying the complex, driven by my relentless focus on excellence.

What one piece of advice would you offer to other Unstoppable Powerhouses?

Embrace and lean into who you are. You will encounter people who try to silence you because you are a natural agent of change. Seek out those who will support and amplify your voice. Use that voice to drive the change you were born for. Believe in yourself— because you are unstoppable!
