Biography

Lindsey joined Dentsu (previously MediaVest North), in 1995 as a Media Executive, during this time she worked in numerous planning and buying roles specialising in performance media. In later years, Lindsey lead the largest media trading and commercial specialists team outside of London for Dentsu. She was responsible for launching a 100+ strong Amplifi team and consolidating media trading for Dentsu’s Northern operation which included offices in Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, and Edinburgh.

A key focus in her role as Managing Director was recognizing the immense talent within the regions resulting in launching, growing, and developing centres of excellence across commercial trading, broadcast, digital, programmatic, audio, publishing and content (TSL), a first for a UK Network Agency Group.

I have known Lindsey for over 25 years and I trust her more than anyone in the industry. Lindsey believes strongly in development of people and the importance of culture within organisations, a great leader and ambassador for the regional advertising industry.

PECA [ the unstoppable power-house ]

A natural born winner who is high on energy and tough on those who don’t deliver. They love nothing more than defying expectations and they have the steel and determination to achieve where most fail.

Specific Strengths

The PECA is on a mission to succeed and lets nothing stand in their way.

They’re very clear in setting expectations and demand the best from everyone.

They are natural born leaders who relish a challenge, going where other’s prefer not to go.

Challenging conventional methods and the status quo, with charm wherever possible.

Communication Style

Confident, direct and precise – they won’t be misinterpreted.

But they are also highly engaging, charismatic and bring a winning mentality.

The PECA is in a race against time so there’s urgency and pace in everything they do.

Management Style

They run fast and demand that others keep up – as a direct report, you are either in or out and you don’t want to be out.

They will build high performing teams but if the team members aren’t resilient, they can be prone to burning out or taking exception to tough feedback.

They are high energy and relentless.

Watch-outs

You operate at one speed only, fast, which can result in resentment or cynicism from some.

Although there is an element of wanting to be ‘liked’ by others, you are not always that open to other ideas or perspectives.

You aren’t always very forgiving, so there is likely to be some fall-out but this could be seen as ‘collateral damage’ as the results speak for themselves.

Areas for Development

For those who operate at a slower pace or need a bit more time to come around to ‘change’, slow down and take the time to bring them on the journey with you. Some of them will be incredibly valuable to have on your side, they may also be the ones who are into the detail, reflect and ask the relevant questions and keep the ‘wheels on the track’. See the value of different work paces and how each person fits into the team and contributes to the achievements of the team.

Be more open to listen and reflect on others’ opinions and ideas. You may be convinced that yours is the best idea but to enable the team to feel valued take the time to genuinely listen and talk through their ideas. They will respect you more as a result, even if you do decide to go with your instinctive thoughts.
