PEEH [ the popular problem-solver ]

A self-disciplined diligent leader who creates success through building strong teams. They are peace makers and mediators, finding solutions to any problem.

Specific Strengths

Well organised, thorough and detail orientated, they like to de-risk situations, building trust in others to deliver.

They build high performing teams, offering development opportunities and pushing the team out of their comfort zones.

Their pace is fast and focused on the tasks in hand, they get things done whilst bringing the team with them.

Communication Style

Warm, friendly and engaging they can easily charm through their open style whether written or verbal.

They will communicate in an excitable and enthusiastic way subtly influencing others without them realising it.

However, they can sometimes interrupt and talk over others.

Management Style

Working at speed they expect others to keep up with them, while delivering to a high standard.

They have an open and friendly manner, building close connections with team members.

They have a ‘hands off’ approach, trusting others to do what they need to do but they are open and approachable if their team need help.

Watch-outs

As a successful problem-solver, you can have a tendency to be overly optimistic or confident.

In focusing on building relationships, you will sometimes avoid difficult conversations, letting situations ‘fester’ or ‘implode’ before dealing with it.

Others can find your style slightly shallow or superficial – specifically those who are more introverted.

Areas for Development

Your optimism is a key attribute that you use to engage with others. However, you do have the tendency to be overly optimistic at times, sometimes not picking up on a situation that needs to be de-risked or thought through with a more analytical mindset.

As a focused relationship builder, you want to engage with everyone and the need to be liked and admired can be strong. You also like to keep a harmonious working environment where everyone is getting along. This can result in you avoiding difficult conversations and potentially letting situations get worse before dealing with them. See each of these situations as an opportunity and deal with them as soon as they arise. Tackling situations head on will earn you more respect and credibility from your team and will stop frustrations arising.
